Do what thou wilt.
Here's a little teaser for you:
Tomorrow night I will be playing piano at a workshop presentation of Shakespeare's "12th Night", or "What You Will."
This is a comedy with scenes of Love, heartbreak, sabotage, and a bit of bloody swordfighting, all accompanied by manic soundscapes tortured out of a piano! Original compositions and improvisations will plague the audience from start to finish, interrupted only by a merciless barrage of corrupt acting. Let me tell you now that if you thought Shakespeare was fit only for harpsichord and lute, you were cretinously misinformed.
Divadlo Miloco is putting it on in conjunction with Mermaid Theater from Austin, Texas. These people are insane! European physical comedy meets improv meets a classic theater piece. Can a blanket become a wig? Can one practice a love poem on a puppy? How does a person drown onstage in the presence of God?
To find out, manifest yourself at Školska 28, the gallery space located off Vodickova. That's the gallery name and address, by the way. Metro: Mustek, tram: Vodickova on #3,9,14,24.
Warning: this is a workshop production. That means you will see the theater equivelant of a movie trailer. It's like a special peek into a live rehearsal, the way it REALLY happens backstage. And if a normal performance shows 10% of the artists' ability, you are in for a rocker!
